NCNC Purpose of Worship
As a "worship and music ministry" we exist to glorify our triune God and edify the body of Christ among all peoples in spirit and truth.
We accomplish this by-
1. Intentionally celebrating the diversity of all nations through our multi-ethnic, multi-lingual music, leadership and practices
Psalm 86
8 There is none like you among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like yours. 9 All the nations you have made shall come and worship before you, O Lord, and shall glorify your name. 10 For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.
2. Music that is focused on bringing glory to, and exemplifying the characteristics of, our unchanging, everlasting God
Psalm 96
3. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! 4. For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.
3. The declaration of God's word in corporate singing and reading
1 Timothy 4
13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.
4. Celebrating Christ’s eventual return and our eternal worship with Him surrounded by those redeemed from all nations!
Revelation 7
9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, 10 and crying out with a loud voice, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” 11 And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”
